GRAVURE Magazine
As editor of GRAVURE Magazine, we were responsible for the design, layout, copy editing, media coordination and production management of this full-color internationally-distributed publication of the Gravure Association.
Our first step was to redesign the layout to improve readability and create a sleeker, more contemporary look. In addition, we were responsible for editing articles on a wide range of industry topics from a variety of authors, to ensure that each article-no matter how technical-effectively communicated its subject matter to various levels of readers-from college-level printing students to seasoned professionals.
Publishing a bi-monthly magazine with 100-150 pages involves a great deal of project management skills, and tight coordination with the extensive list of authors, advertisers and even the numerous companies submitting press releases is critical. We also worked closely with the printer, Upstate Litho, to assure that the final product met the highest quality standards.
