After we helped Mark Colgan with the publishing of his book The Survivor Assistance Handbook, we were
asked to expand the national notoriety of this local author. We developed a public relations strategy to promote his unique expertise of working with widows, widowers, the terminally ill and their families in targeted national publications.

We also promoted Mark Colgan as a national speaker to financial planners, funeral directors, hospice professionals, accountants, estate attorneys and individuals.

Through our targeted press releases and articles submitted to key publications, we were able to achieve specific goals and objectives for our client. Mark Colgan has been published in such national publications as Money Magazine, Consumer Reports’ Money Advisor, The Journal of Financial Planning, American Association of Individual Investors, The Director, The Independent and the ABA Journal. He recently has been cited by Fox News, NBC News and CBS Marketwatch.

As an expansion of our involvement with Mark Colgan’s
PR program, we also helped Mark develop a professional website that merged his Survivor Assistance website
with his Colgan Capital site to help him leverage
the synergy between the two and focus on joint
marketing opportunities.
